Congratulations to Mahina, Kailoa, Kalehua & Sylvia on opening @makanaihnl in Makiki today! It’s been 2 years in the making, but this cute coffice with smooth drinks, fresh pastries and fluffy toasts & sandos opened to the welcoming arms of the neighborhood. (The bread is from @millefete and bagels are from @talisbagels , too!)
@kaimanapine & I tried:
• Cold brew with a rich honey cream top
• Strawberry matcha
• Koko Love (fan favorite with coconut water, matcha and honey cold foam)
• Yuzu egg sando on @millefete kopi bread (someone tell me how this is!! 😒 #IYKYK )
• Potato salad sando (so Japanese!)
• That sando on @millefete sourdough - like a charcuterie board in a sandwich (our fave sando so far)
• Sweet toast with cinnamon-sugar butter, topped with
cheese foam and seasonal fruit compote (our fave of the day)
We were eating & talking for a long time, and there was a continuous flow of customers PLUS a whole office having a #coffice meeting in the corner. I can just imagine how busy it will be once more people find out about them! #WelcomeToTheNeighborhood - I’ll definitely be back!
