I can’t believe I’m saying this… my debut single “Jaguar” (under my alias Kaico) is officially being considered by the @recordingacademy for a possible GRAMMY®️ nomination in the Global Music Category 🐆🏆
This song has such a wild origin story — while taking Non-Western Music Theory at @nyuniversity in the incredible @nyuconcertcomposition program with the amazing @professor_birson , I was captivated by West African rhythmic traditions. Those drum lines inspired me to create “Jaguar”, and thanks to my professor’s support, it’s now in the hands of the Recording Academy.
