Meet Kimberly again đone of the lovely children who welcomed a minister during the Eruption Conference.
My sweet little friend⌠and even while I was on duty post, we caught a quick moment and made it count đ¸â¨
Itâs amazing how a simple smile can turn a busy day into a beautiful memory.

They ask me, âWhat do you see at midnight that we donât?â
This Right here.
After hours on watch, most people would head straight to bed. But something about this view stopped me.
The lights, The stillness. The way the port never sleeps, just like us.
I was exhausted, but motivation doesnât wait for convenience. It strikes when it strikes.
And when it does, you shoot.
This is my world. My midnight. My motivation.
Follow @kai_diary1 for more stories from the sea, captured between watches and waves. đđ¸
Tell me.
What are you willing to sacrifice for peace like this?
Because this view didnât come from comfort zones.
It came from choosing courage over convenience.

The horizon keeps its promises every sunset means fewer days to count, fewer nights away. Hope shines in colors only the sea can paint.

âSome bridges you drive across⌠others, you sail beneath and they leave you with a story you canât forget.â
The Delaware Memorial Bridge is one of those.
Opened in 1951, once the longest suspension span in the world and doubled in 1968 two giants standing guard over the Delaware River.
To the locals, it connects Delaware and New Jersey.
To us seafarers, itâs the first salute as we enter U.S. watersâsilent, towering, and timeless.
Passing beneath it feels like crossing into another chapterâŚ
From Naija shores to Yankee tides, the journey no dey lie.
Bridges no just connect lands sometimes, they connect a sailorâs past to his purpose.â

What happens when youâre Officer of the Watch at 4amâŚ?
You witness the kind of sunrise that makes the world pause. đ Sailing between Netherlands đłđą and Belgium đ§đŞ pilotage, with both flags transiting under the ship and with @semih_ozkan_78 the captain by my side, the horizon looked like it was painted for us alone., I realized some moments are just too perfect not to capture. â¨
Ever had a moment that stopped time? Tell me below! âłđ

Na water carry us come, but purpose dey hold us steady.
âAs we piloted through the mighty Delaware River, this giant above me wasnât just concrete and cables, it was a witness of time. Built in 1951, the first span of the Delaware Memorial Bridge was once the longest suspension span of its kind in the world. Then in 1968, its twin rose beside it two brothers, side by side, like port and starboard said the US pilot onboard.
It connects Delaware and New Jersey two states, one structure, millions of stories.
But for me as a seafarer, itâs more than a crossing.
Itâs a symbol the welcome gate to U.S. waters for many foreign-flagged ships.
From Abidjan anchorage to the Delaware channel, we sail through tides and borders. We carry cargo, yesâbut we also carry sacrifice, silence, and stories.
And sometimes, itâs just you, the pilot, the river current, and that voice in your head saying:
âNa who dey bridge, dey cross legacy.â
