I wrote and recorded this song back in 2023 and I performed it for the first time at @korakevents last month. Good timing too, considering the manosphere has come back into the modern consciousness, but it’s been a conversation for the last few years and one that doesn’t get approached with as much nuance or insight as it probably should’ve done, even back then. Either way, I wrote this reflecting on my male relationships and how much I used to cringe at Tate sympathisers (“I think men need to be men again” type beats). It was a pleasure performing and breaking down the song with the live band and audience in an intimate setting at @burntfaith and for it to be received the way it did.
