What a year 2025 has been. Truly the most eventful of our lives thus far! From celebrating another big win for the Birds 🦅 and furnishing a new home ... to moderating three panels at the Exchange conference in Vegas (while grappling with 2nd-trimester hunger and heels) - where I had the honor of introducing my former mentor and dear friend, biz news broadcasting legend Bob Pisani, on stage. We also adopted two precious kitties upon our return. But of course, the marquee moment for us was witnessing our beautiful baby seedling sprout into our beloved Flora Rae Young. 🌸 Could never have imagined how something as simple as her smile could make our hearts sing. 💚🍃
We are so incredibly blessed to have received all the love, support and words of wisdom (not to mention, many a hand-me-down) we have from friends and family. Here’s to a bright and beautiful 2026 brimming with lots more adventures for all! 🎆✨
After many years of anticipation and waiting for this moment to arrive, we finally got to meet our forever small FRY
Flora Rae Young 🌷✨ made her grand entrance into our world on Wednesday, 9/3/2025 at 12:53am Pacific Time, weighing in at 7lbs 6oz and measuring 19.25 inches long
Flora, named after Kirsten’s maternal grandmother Foon-Lan (Lan meaning orchid in Chinese)
Flora’s Chinese name (given to her by Kirsten’s dad) is 陽明花, “Yang Ming Hua” (Yang for last name Young and Ming Hua meaning “bright flower”)
Rae, named after my paternal grandmother of the same name.
Forever grateful to my WARRIOR wife @kaecee16 for being there with me through our journey to parenthood, for growing and watering our little seedling over these last 9+ months and for enduring a very long and painstaking induction process during labor
We love you Flora Rae, and we can’t wait to see you blossom over all the years to come 🌼 🐣 💕

Met this crazy girl 20 years ago...where we first locked eyes whilst naming flowers on the DES promenade. From that day on, I knew I'd found my psycho #33, that there was no one else I'd rather be spamming my keys with, and that it was only she who could fully comprehend the weight of the place where Justine tripped. Together we developed many a theory (pink, left-handed, etc.), a secret language with @miranda_corin & a beautiful friendship punctuated by sleepovers, scary movies, Stacy's Mom, randomly deep life musings and way, way too many Krispy Kreme donuts.
She always dreamed of a life of adventure and of finding her very own Sk8er Boi. Fast-forward to today - she found him, and they've been on countless adventures ever since. She found someone who never tried to tame her unbridled enthusiasm and love for life. In fact, he lets it loose - and he's loving every minute of the journey. Couldn't imagine anyone more perfect for her than @rilesmiles6 if I tried.
