We introduce Jon Kadocsa as our new editor. He has worked with production companies across São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Sofia, Los Angeles, and Berlin — where he lived for six years. His work has appeared on streaming platforms such as Netflix and Prime Video, and has screened at major film festivals including Sundance, Berlinale, and the Venice Film Festival. Beyond cinema, Jon has extensive experience in commercial editing, having collaborated with Brazil’s leading production companies, renowned directors, and global brands such as Nike, Coca-Cola, Nestlé, Unilever, Google, TikTok, Visa, Netflix, McDonald’s, and General Motors, among many others. In 2017, Jon was nominated for Best Editing at the Gramado Film Festival, and a short film he edited made the 2022 Oscars shortlist for Best Live Action Short Film. He was also recognized among the top three film editors in Brazil at the Whext Festival in 2022, 2023, and 2024. With over twenty years in the film industry and editing professionally since 2008, Jon brings a deep understanding of the filmmaking process that extends far beyond the editing room. He often collaborates closely with directors from early development through post-production, contributing to storytelling, rhythm, and visual design. Having a background in audio production, Jon views sound as an essential narrative tool. In 2012, he earned a postgraduate degree in Audio Production and Engineering from SAE Institute Berlin. Above all, he is driven by one purpose: to tell meaningful stories that resonate.

#sizzle #editing #trailer

Inspired by the idea of an invisible visual loop, I imagined a striking moment, like the end of a film you don’t want to end. A shot that repeats itself without revealing the cut, to hold on to the feeling a little longer. And then a little longer. Some moments don’t ask for continuation. If we could, we’d leave them on loop. Without noticing. Forever. Without “fin”. #ailoop
