It’s been a year since I wrote ‘All’ and what a year it’s been @jonmacmusic and I started recording this song way back in July of last year, and spent several late nights and long sessions creating something that built a world around itself. This was my first time ever recording something with full production, and I’ve never been happier. ‘All’ is such an important and heavy song for me. I wrote it about wanting to be loved as much as I love the people around me. It was a low point in my life when I felt as though I would always be “second.” But, as I lived in this song and really let myself learn from my own art, I realized I didn’t feel entirely loved because I wasn’t letting people love me. To be loved, I had to learn to be open and vulnerable with others which is terrifying. But, at the same time, it’s one of the most valuable lessons I’ve ever learned. The people in my life did love me (and still do), I just wasn’t allowing myself to see or accept that, and now I can. #tmi anyways, all this to say, what started out as a sad song that let me sit in my isolation turned into a song that inspired me to let people in. ‘All’ will always have a very special place in my heart, and so do you. Thank you so much for supporting this project of mine, and I’m so happy to know that it’s got a special meaning to all of you as well :) I can’t wait to share the music video soon and mayhaps a recording of the live premier 👀 be on the lookout for sure.
