Over the years, conversations around climate action have grown beyond environmental sustainability alone, with greater focus on how climate and circular economy systems can support livelihoods, strengthen vulnerable communities, and create long-term economic opportunities. Earlier today, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Climate Change and Circular Economy, Mrs. Titilayo Oshodi MCIPM, FISMN, joined Dr. Adebola Odunsi and Joel ‘Kachi’ Benson for a strategic meeting focused on developing a social enterprise model for Khasa Social Projects (Khasa) and the Uwaosi Rhoda Foundation (URF). The session explored cooperative-led structures and circular economy solutions such as waste-to-energy systems and agro-processing initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods and strengthening women-led enterprise within the Chibok community. It also reflected the role of structured systems in supporting long-term opportunity, partnerships, and sustainable community impact. #ClimateAction #CircularEconomy #WomenEmpowerment #Sustainability #OccceLagos

From Chibok to the world, their stories continue. 🚀 What began as a pilot study has become proof that when women are supported, families and futures are transformed. Through the Chibok Groundnut Initiative, mothers who once struggled to provide are now harvesting more, earning more, feeding their families, and sending their children to school. These are not just testimonials—they are evidence of resilience, dignity, and the power of sustainable support. As we begin the next cycle of this initiative, we’re reflecting on the impact of the last one and the lives already being changed from the soil upward. Every harvest, every product, and every sale is part of a bigger vision: building a sustainable system where the women of Chibok can continue to provide for their families, fund future farming cycles, and create lasting impact for the next generation. Visit mothersofchibok.com to see how you can partner with these amazing women. #MothersOfChibok #ChibokGroundnutInitiative #FromChibokToTheWorld #FarmingFundsEducation #UwaosiRhodaFoundation

Earlier this week, on April 14, marked 12 years since 276 girls were taken from Chibok. Twelve years of grief and endurance. But also twelve years of refusing disappearance, silence, and neglect. And this is why I made the film @mothersofchibok because I believe these mothers deserved to be heard. Their story has never only been about loss. It is also about what they have done with pain. How they have turned waiting into work; how they have turned memory into movement.
And how they are rebuilding, through courage, enterprise, and the strength of their own hands. So when the @humanrightsfilmfestival.berlin honored their story last night with the Willy Brandt Documentary Film Award, it meant something deeper than recognition. It meant their voices travelled. It meant their truth landed. It meant the world listened. If you believe in what the mothers are building, and want to stand with them, visit mothersofchibok.com. To the mothers of Chibok: thank you. For your strength, your clarity, and for showing the world what endurance, resistance, and hope really look like. @impact.partners.docs @ajokesilva @katie_blake @rachelhalilej @sharkislandinstitute @jamiepatricof @uzoaduba @mothersofchibok

12 years later, the echoes of Chibok remain a profound part of our national consciousness. On Tuesday, April 14th, our Director General @aishaak49 joined a distinguished panel for the private screening of @mothersofchibok , a powerful documentary directed by Emmy Award winner @kachibenson and produced by the legendary @ajokesilva which offered an intimate and heart-wrenching look at the lives of the mothers whose daughters were abducted 12 years ago (14/04/2014). The documentary, recorded over a period of three years focused on their courage, captivating strength and the reality of their lives in the past decade. It also served as a stark reminder of the strength these women carry and the collective responsibility we share to ensure their stories are never forgotten. During the panel discussions, our D.G. emphasized the vital role of cultural documentation and storytelling in preserving the narratives of our people, even the most painful ones to foster healing and national reflection. @mothersofchibok is now showing in cinemas nationwide. We encourage everyone to watch, and reflect on this important piece of our contemporary history. Kindly click on the link in our bio to directly support these mothers as they continue to navigate life 12 years after this devastating abduction. Every contribution makes a difference.

A story like this doesn’t end at the cinema. Today, we bring Mothers of Chibok into a more intimate, intentional space for a private screening and live studio taping at TVC Communications, marking 12 years since the abduction of the Chibok schoolgirls. Following the screening, a live conversation moderated by Bolanle Olukanni will bring together voices across film, culture, and media to deepen the conversation: what it means to tell this story and how we move from awareness to action. This is a moment we are proud to be shaping. Not just as a screening, but as a continuation of a national conversation and a celebration of the enterprise of the resilient mothers who never stopped hoping. 🗓 Tuesday, April 14, 2026 📍 TVC Communications Studios, Eko Atlantic, Lagos

Twelve years after the world cried #BringBackOurGirls, the women of Chibok are still standing, unbowed and unbroken. Through farming, they are funding education, caring for their families, and quietly defying the violence that once tried to steal their future. Their story remains one of courage, dignity, and enduring hope. #MothersOfChibok #FromChibokWithLove
