The other night I told some new jokes about my ostomy bag to a full Rev HalI. My body and I have had a very stupid and turbulent 18+ months. Every day I get stronger - physically and emotionally - but there’s still a long way to go. Feeling confident enough to talk about it on stage might seem like only a medium-sized deal… but the life adjustments have been huge and the constant mental gymnastics are exhausting. Feels pretty freeing to laugh about it with y’all. Your kindness was everything.
