When we set out to make The Nearly Forgotten Incident’s prologue, we knew we wanted to put an emphasis on practical effects. This gave our talent something to react to, our DP something tangible to track, and it evoked the feeling of the noir films of yesteryear. Anything we came up with,
@after_dark_fx and
@orlandospfx had an answer.
What started as a request for fog turned into bullets, blood, squibs, a tire blow out, and some other fiery fun. William and his team were easy to work with and in it for the long haul. If they weren’t actively rigging an effect, they were working hand-in-hand with
@k2secondunitstunts and armorer Tom Downes to choreograph how effects fit into stunt elements, and assisting wardrobe to with doctoring clothes to look shot up and bloody. We can’t wait to work with them again!
