@thejuliaknox // I shot these two years ago on film that had already expired some time in the 90s. The whole roll was drastically underexposed, but I started messing around with a new scanning workflow that was able to pull a surprising amount of detail out of it.

@lanadanielyan experimenting with textures. I think they were onto something back when they lit fashion mags with hard light straight-on. It gives skin a certain definition that's been lost in the age of soft boxes and LEDs.
The only two lights in this shoot were an Arri 650w fresnel to the left of frame and a ETC leko from the right of camera. I had @thejuliaknox whip the light left and right while I was at a real slow shutter speed, allowing for the pattern to smear over the backdrop.
How would you light a golden-years-of-fashion shoot?
