A light at the end of the tunnel is inevitable. And I’m a huge fan of the light, I seek it and let it guide me. But I’d like to thank the tunnel for helping me get from one place to another. Maybe the tunnel represents a dark night of the soul or the shadowy place where I meet a part of myself that I was afraid to acknowledge. I’ve been meeting myself for decades, in and out of tunnels, collecting tools and wisdom to keep moving towards the light. This isn’t a cryptic post to say I’m making leggings again. I want reconnection with this community and hopefully those who align with my values stay or come while those who do not, fall away. I have nothing to sell and hope this space, on this account, stays curious, willing and kind. I just want to share- to be seen and heard because it feels good, creates connection and helps me feel like I’m not the only one who thinks, feels and experiences the world this way. This tunnel leads to a naturist beach in Spain, not far from where my partner and I spent a month last fall as they finished editing their book which was published a month ago. It represents freedom and I wake up every morning imagining myself floating in the clear, warm water as the sun charges me up. The more I practice this feeling of freedom, the more I feel it when I’m not expecting it. Grateful for the tunnel, for it always leads me towards the light.

Hi friends, it’s been a little while since I’ve shared, and I just want to thank you for sticking around. I feel clear that this truly is a pause for K-DEER and myself, while also being clear that I am in no rush to “get back to work”, as so much has been happening in my life. I’ve actually been doing “the work” by taking time to rest, reflect, grieve, heal and grow. I wrote a blog to share an update since last July (link in bio). The image I chose for this post was one of the first pictures I took in my office, which was once my dad’s photography studio, before he had his stroke in 1997. My sisters are also a special part of my K-DEER journey and as is the woman behind the camera, my amazing mom. Thanks for still being here and being patient with me. Official Move Out Day ❤️ I walked into my office for the last time and after the sobs subsided, I felt an enormous wave of gratitude for you all. Without you, K-DEER would have just been a hobby of making clothing for myself and friends. But now I have friends all around the world that restore my faith in the good that we can do. Please continue to wear your K-DEER and share your lives with me here, I’ll be watching and connecting as I rest and reconnect with my purpose. I’m not sure what comes next but I do know that this community is coming with me so we can make even more positive impact on the world. Love you. ❤️

🌈 Today, I’m closing this chapter of K-DEER with a full heart. My gratitude for this community, my team, my family and all the humans who have made it possible to share K-DEER with the world, I deeply bow to you. I know the foundation has been set for creating even greater impact and although I don’t know what it will be, I know I needed to open myself to the possibilities by letting this chapter close. 🌈 Tonight at midnight EST, our website will close and switch to a landing page in which I’ll be sharing some blogs with more personal thanks and experiences.
