Behind the scenes from the STAR WARS photoshoot. Months on the run. No rest. No refuge. Only the Force - and the hunt. Shot on a desolate ocean world, this concept follows a lone Jedi Knight pushed to the edge, facing an unseen Inquisitor in the shadows. This project was absolutely a team effort. As you can see why. Day 10 in Koh Lanta 🇹🇭🏝️ Started the morning with breakfast and it was so good… but huge. We’ve been eating smaller meals lately so this one hit like a brick 😅 After that we dropped off our little Scoopy scooter (RIP, you served us well 🛵), walked back to the villa, grabbed our bags and waited for our taxi. The taxi rocked up and it was one of those tuktuk-style setups - basically a moped with a little side cart attached. Super bumpy, slightly chaotic, felt like we were getting shaken around in a human trailer… but honestly kinda fun 😂 We got to the docks, waited a bit, then jumped on the boat. Around a 2 hour trip, just watching the ocean roll by. Even had to switch boats halfway which felt a bit random, but we got there in the end. Arrived in Koh Yao Noi, jumped in another car for about 30 minutes and finally made it to our villa. And this place… unreal. We’re facing straight onto the water, not even a 1 minute walk and you’re on the beachfront. Waking up to the sound of waves hitting the shore is actually surreal 🌊 First mission after check-in - secure another Scoopy scooter 🛵 Back in action. Headed out for lunch and spent the afternoon exploring. At low tide we walked across to a small island connected to the main one, which was such a cool little experience. Later we went back, made a coffee and sat out on the deck as a storm rolled in. Rain pouring, lightning flashing, thunder cracking - just watching the sky light up over the ocean ⛈️ Slower day, but a very good on #thailand #thailandtravel #kohlanta #kohlantathailand #travelvlogs

Day 9 in Koh Lanta 🇹🇭🐘 Started the morning with breakfast… which wasn’t exactly the highlight. It took a while and the staff forgot our meals, but hey - it happens. On with the day. We scootered over to an elephant sanctuary and were instantly excited. It’s an ethical sanctuary, so no riding elephants - just observing and spending time with them the right way. We got to feed them bananas and fruit and watched them wander around doing their elephant things. Later the elephants went for their daily walk through the sanctuary and we followed along while the guides told us their stories. Many of them had been rescued from tough lives working in logging and transport, and now they live peacefully in the sanctuary. Along the way the guide also showed us traditional plants used locally for headaches and pain relief. Just when we thought the tour was finishing, the elephants wandered into a big play pool to cool off. We got to help hose them down and scrub them with brushes while they splashed around, flapping their ears and making their elephant sounds. Seeing such huge animals so relaxed and happy was honestly pretty special. After saying our goodbyes, the guides brought out fresh mango and pineapple for everyone which was the perfect way to finish the tour. Next stop was lunch, where I ordered a dish that came out on a sizzling plate… fully on fire 🔥 The whole restaurant turned to look at us while this flaming meal arrived at the table. Slightly embarrassing, slightly hilarious, but honestly pretty fun. After that we headed back to our favourite beach one last time. I (jyle) had picked up some goggles earlier so we could finally see what was under the water while swimming. Teah enjoyed the swim while we soaked up the last bit of the day. We finished it all off by watching another beautiful sunset, then had dinner right on the sand. A really nice day with a very relaxing evening to end it 🌅 #kohlanta #thailand #thailandelephants #thailandtravel

Day 8 in Koh Lanta 🇹🇭🌴 Started the morning finding a hidden café in the trees for breakfast. Eggs, bacon, avocado toast and a coffee smoothie - perfect start to the day ☕️🥑 We got chatting with the owner and had a random small world moment. She’s Thai and her husband is Aussie, and they used to live in Melbourne before moving back to Thailand to open the café. She even lived in Tweed Heads at one point. Didn’t expect that conversation in the middle of Koh Lanta. She recommended we check out the mangroves, so we scootered over for a walk. Quiet and peaceful, especially with the low tide. Next stop was the butterfly farm, which ended up being a highlight. It’s also an animal rescue run by locals who clearly care about the animals. We met baby Moo Dang, snapping turtles (who apparently enjoy fingers as snacks if you’re not careful 😅), water buffalo, a super friendly otter, scorpions and of course the butterflies 🦋 After leaving we stopped to refuel the Vespa from a roadside stall where a local filled it up using glass bottles of petrol like it was completely normal, absolute legend! We checked out Old Town briefly but it was way too hot, so we started the long ride back across the island to our favourite beach. Lots of sightseeing and happy yapping along the way. Grabbed some takeaway and watched the sunset on the beach. No interruptions this time - just a perfect way to end the day #dailyvlogger #thailandtravel #kohlanta #kohlantathailand

Day 7 in Koh Lanta 🇹🇭🏝️ Started the morning with breakfast at a little restaurant not far from our place. Nothing fancy, just good food and a relaxed start to the day before heading off on a bit of an adventure. We jumped on the scooter and made the 30 minute ride across the island to the lighthouse at Mu Koh Lanta National Park. Cruising along the roads with the warm breeze and ocean views was honestly one of the best parts of the day 🛵🌴 We stopped here and there to check out random viewpoints and at one point had to grab fuel from the locals… who literally sell petrol in glass bottles on the side of the road. Yes, actual bottles. Like a roadside lemonade stand but for petrol ⛽️😂 Eventually we made it to the national park and wandered around for a bit, grabbed some snacks and drinks, and cooled off with a nice swim in the ocean. After exploring the area we treated ourselves to some ice cream before starting the ride back across the island. Once back at the villa we changed out of our wet clothes and headed over to our favourite little beach across the road. Jumped back into the water and quickly realised this beach is basically a rock collection. Big rocks, small rocks, round rocks, pointy rocks… rocks of every shape and size trying to sneak attack your feet 🪨 As the sun started to set we got out and sat down to watch it. Most of the beach gathered to enjoy the sunset… except the two girls sitting right in front of us who suddenly decided that was the perfect moment to start packing their entire life away. Slowly. Very slowly. Like… suspiciously slowly. Meanwhile I’m trying to film a timelapse of the sunset, and they’re just casually standing there right in front of it for what felt like forever. Maybe it was accidental… maybe they thought it would be funny to become the main characters of the timelapse. Who knows 😂 Either way we still managed to enjoy the sunset as best we could before heading out for dinner and eventually calling it a night after a long day exploring the island. #thailand #thailandtravel #thailandvlog #kohlanta #kohlantathailand

Day 6 in Koh Lanta 🇹🇭🌴 New island, new routine. We started the morning by heading out to a beautiful little breakfast spot right on the beach. The view was unreal - ocean, sand, palm trees, the whole tropical setup 🌊☀️ After breakfast we went back to the villa, then crossed the road to check out Secret Beach. The water was crystal clear so we jumped in for a swim and floated around for a while. Afterwards we just sat on the sand watching the sky drift by. One of those slow travel moments where everything feels pretty perfect. Unfortunately… that’s when things took a turn 💀 Whatever we ate earlier clearly did not agree with us, and it hit both of us like a ton of bricks. One minute we were relaxing, the next it was full survival mode. Quick retreat back to the villa to try and sleep it off. But earlier on the beach there was already a sign the day might be chaotic. I (jyle) had to run to the bathroom… except there was no lock on the door. So there I am, holding the door shut with one hand, absolutely fighting for my life… while two local cows start trying to push the door open with their heads 🐄🚪 They’re mooing, I’m inside yelling “bugger off!” while trying to keep the door closed. Not exactly the peaceful beach moment I had imagined. Later that night we managed to crawl to 7-Eleven to grab a small bite to eat and some electrolytes in hopes of bringing ourselves back to life. Ended the night back at the villa watching “101 Facts About Thailand”, slowly recovering and hoping tomorrow our stomachs decide to cooperate again. Island life… never boring #kohlanta #thailandtravel #thailand🇹🇭 #thailandtrip

Day 5 in Ao Nang🇹🇭🌴 Our last morning in Ao Nang before heading to the island of Koh Lanta. We started the day the same way we had the last few mornings - breakfast at KK Cafe. It had become our little routine, the quiet atmosphere surrounded by trees and plants made it the perfect way to start the day ☕️🌿 After breakfast we went back to the villa and soaked in the last hour or so before it was time to leave. Packed up, said goodbye to Ao Nang, and grabbed a taxi down to the docks. From there we jumped on a speed boat to Koh Lanta. The trip took about 1 hour and 50 minutes - fast, but definitely a little bumpy across the water 🚤 Once we arrived we grabbed another taxi and headed straight to our new villa. After settling in and getting our bearings, we went out to find some dinner and caught a beautiful sunset over the island 🌅 A perfect way to end a travel day before heading back to relax for the night.

Day 4 in Ao Nang 🇹🇭🌴 Started the morning with breakfast at KK Cafe, which has kind of become our little routine the past few days. It’s quiet, tucked away with heaps of foresty trees and plants around it, which makes the whole place feel really peaceful 🌿☕️ After breakfast we grabbed a taxi down to the pier and caught a longtail boat over to Railay Beach. The ride there was… interesting 😅 The boat driver was going pretty wild and at one point it honestly felt like we might capsize. But hey - we made it. Railay itself was beautiful, huge limestone cliffs and bright blue water, but wow it was hot. Definitely the hottest day we’ve had the whole trip. After walking around for a bit we decided to head back since the heat was pretty intense. Nice spot, but honestly a little overrated and very touristy. We didn’t even end up swimming. Once we got back we spent some time relaxing around the villa before heading out for dinner at a nice little spot nearby 🍽️ After that we wandered through the local street market, taking in the night atmosphere before calling it a day. Of course the local cats walked us home again, like our little nighttime security team 🐈 Another day in Ao Nang done. #aonang #thailandvlog #cozyvlog #thailand

Day 3 in Ao Nang 🇹🇭🏝️ Today was our four island tour. Teah and I got picked up in the morning by our guide and headed out across the ocean for a full day exploring the islands around Krabi 🚤 Our first stop was a beautiful quiet island - we arrived around 8am while everything was still calm and peaceful. Crystal clear water, soft sand, and barely anyone around. We spent about an hour there just taking it all in before heading to the next spot. The second island was perfect for swimming. We jumped in the water and while floating around we spotted a few starfish on the ocean floor ⭐️ From there we moved on to the third island, which ended up being our favourite. It felt almost private - just us and a couple of other people around. Our boat was just the two of us the entire day which made it even better. We swam, relaxed, and enjoyed how quiet everything was. The final island was definitely the most touristy. Lots more people, boats, and noise. We ended up just chilling under the palm trees for a bit. Busy beaches aren’t really our flow - we definitely preferred the calm vibe of the earlier islands 🌴 Still, it was an amazing day out on the water. Once we got back to Ao Nang we grabbed some dinner and called it a night after a very long day in the sun. #thailand #Aonang #thailandvlog #travelthailand

Day 2 in Ao Nang 🇹🇭🌴 Started the morning with breakfast at a cute little café - good coffee, good food, and that slow island pace ☕️🥐 After that we headed back to the villa and spent some time relaxing in the pool, enjoying the calm before the weather had other plans. Out of nowhere the skies opened up and the rain started pouring 🌧️ So we stayed in, chilled out, and waited for the storm to pass. Once it cleared we headed out for dinner, finding a nice spot where we ordered some great cocktails and a proper meal 🍸🍽️ Always hits different after a rainy afternoon. After dinner we walked back home and were greeted by the local cats waiting outside like our little welcoming committee 🐈 Called it an early night - big adventures planned for tomorrow #thailand #aonang #aonangthailand #thailandtravel #cozyvlog

Day 1 in Ao Nang, Thailand 🇹🇭🌴 Slow start to the trip - @te.ah.ja.de and I spent the morning relaxing by the pool, soaking in the heat and watching the little koi fish swim in their pond. Later we caught a grab down to the beach and found a beautiful little restaurant right on the water. Ordered some food, a few drinks, and just enjoyed the view of the longtail boats drifting across the ocean 🍹🌊 After lunch we took a slow walk along the beachfront. Checked out a few of the market stalls. Went to find the local markets but it started to rain. Eventually we got a ‘Grab’ (taxi) back to the villa… but the day had one more surprise. A random cat showed up, casually walked straight into our villa like it owned the place, on the villa wall there was a poster of “ Sandy ” the community cat whom we thought we had found only to later discover it was in fact not Sandy! The real slim Sandy did show up. She came inside for a quick look around before heading back into the street. Before locking the gate to our villa another “not not sandy” showed up just to peak over the villas wall to have a look at the new neighbours. How many Sandys are there? 🐈‍⬛ 🐈 🐱 Resting up for whatever tomorrow in Ao Nang brings ✨
