He came from Space! Another early development shot of Galactus approaching the planet. Inspired by the long history of Galactus comic art, I tried to imbue his mobile platform with Jack Kirby design language while keeping his iconic silhouette readable in his cast shadow.

We did explore some face paint options in the design phase of Muse just to see what kind of unhinged looks we can get. Even within the established look of 2 streaks down the eyes from the comics there is variety and style of execution to consider when translating the character. How does Muse express himself?

It was a treat to help translate such a striking character onto the screen. When the design is this bold, preservation of the icon is crucial.
My main contribution is figuring out the material that would be appropriate for Muse to wear. I thought as an artist Muse would have lots of scrap canvas laying about his studio. Stitching it together would provide interesting shades of white and off whites to his costume, plus the added bonus of texture and a more unhinged look. Glad that the canvas idea played into the plot a bit as well.
@egunshor and her team did an amazing job making this real. He looked terrifying on screen. And of course hunterdoohan brought Muse to life through his intense performance.

5 Golden Rings for the 5th day of Christmas! Sorry... couldn't resist...
Tried to strike a balance between simplicity and visual interest with the rings. The runes/texture should read as Chinese calligraphy without actually saying any word in particular.
I was tempted to hide my Chinese name in there but thought better of it. Too risky! Ha!
