In honor of my Pops Birthday today I put this together from the past two years of switching the Camaro over to a boosted 1100 hp car. Small block with an F-2 pro charger still on a mild timing curve and loose converter surprised us all . This was one of the most frustrating, fun, and lots of anxiety we experienced together . After getting screwed by the first engine builder we finally were able to have one of the best builders and friend Jim Vangordon build us a monster. It felt like we were always working on the car , yelling at each other , or changing something as we figured it out . All the blood sweat and tears went into this while most people just didnāt think we could pull it off . If I wasnt on the phone with Jake to double check something or talking to Kevin for tuning tips I was pulling my hair out. We had set a goal to go 5.35 in the car and it was a struggle to get there . After all the work with help from close friends and family we finally did it . Mamba went 5.23 at almost 133 mph in the 1/8 running out of gear and converter . I think this finally pulled the weight off our shoulders and shut some loose lips that didnāt believe we could . Best part will be when mamba sees a 4 second slip , this will be the new goal in the future . But for now I want pops to enjoy this ride . Cheers to 68 pops š
Another awesome view of the night show run I had up close and personal . This is always the most electric ride of the year . Thanks to all my sponsors who made this happen and to my family who helped along the way. Thanks to the boys who made this video tagged below.
My night show run putting together 35 tricks in the short minute and a half with a banged up hand . This new ignition from Lpw and tuning work by Hiro has this ski running flawless . Looking for to the last heat today.
Last weekend was able to pull off the win in the GM category . Honestly one of the most fun and adrenaline rides Iāve been on . Racing is in the Wright family blood. 6-7 rounds of racing this vette did nothing but impress. Running 11.80ās at 118mph before the wind picked up and was consistent . Just a cam, headers and tune she was flying . Proud to take the win and want to thank all of family and friends who helped out along the way . Taking on some good racers along with cars on electronics I was zoned in the tree and the vette did the rest.
More world finals pictures sent over from @mrzomb.photo that were taken on one of my heats .
After first trick I thought what would @tannerthetanman do if he saw these 5 foot buoys š .
