We are proud that âRebooting, Rerootingâ, Lo Lai Lai Natalie, (2025) is selected into ART SG FILM Program 2026, curated by X Zhu-Nowell. @xzhunowell
Rebooting, Rerooting is a contemplative essay film that bridges the microscopic and the monumental, exploring the cyclical nature of existence through the lens of regenerative farming. Created as an intimate memorial to Lo's late farming mentor, Uncle Ho, the work transforms grief into a meditation on continuity, examining how death feeds life and how breathâboth first and lastâconnects all living systems.
The film employs footage from Lo's immersive study of regenerative farming practices, weaving together observational documentation with poetic narration. Through this personal yet universal narrative, Lo positions bacteria and soil microorganisms not merely as biological agents but as elegiac singersâentities that metabolize death into sustenance, transforming endings into new beginnings.
To the artist Lo, it is important to cultivate adaptive resilience in the turbulent world.

Meet Dylan Chan (@wip_dylan ), a Singaporean artist whose practice engages with themes of intimacy, memory, and the subtle, often unnoticed facets of daily life. He reflects on his processâattending closely to materiality and the image-centric nature of his work. His works stem from an autobiographical standpoint, whereby his living space deeply informs his works.
Discover his work at @jwprojectsg âs presentation at ART SG, Booth FR03.
