Day 2. We conquered both Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks in a single day. We hiked 2 trails in Zion and my favorite trail in Bryce. I think we hit somewhere near 36k steps that day 😂. Jesse loved Bryce and I’m stoked he went to the bottom and back up with me. There’s no better way to experience the park. It was a good day of trekking and we certainly earned our very subpar meal in Torrey. We started our adventure in Vegas immediately after landing and drove to Red Rock Canyon. It was a short stop, but made up for it by getting out and hiking the fire wave in Valley of Fire State Park. #valleyoffire #redrockcanyon #roadtrip
For the last 9 days, Jesse and I have been off the grid doing my beloved and most favorite road trip in the southwest. A tour through the best of southern Utah and northern Arizona. Today we finished at the Grand Canyon and get to stay overnight in an essentially all glass tiny house in the middle of nowhere under the stars. I’ll be posting many more photos of the trip later, but wanted to commemorate the finale of our first trip together before we wake up tomorrow and head back to the real world. Fun day exploring MFA in Boston today. So much Monet it almost made me swoon 😍. Throw in some nigiri and a great bowl of ramen at Hojoko and I’d say that it was well worth facing the flurries and bone chilling wind. We needed a day to ourselves. Jesse and I both came to terms a while ago that we’d most likely end up single and alone with our cats… Not because we didn’t have a choice, but because both of us refused to settle for anything less than perfection. We both knew what we wanted in a partner and the bar was set so high, it seemed unlikely either of us would ever meet the right person… until we found each other. Although the walls were up, the armor on, and caution was exercised, we managed to open up just enough to realize how perfect we are together. We both knew right away and it’s been nothing short of the most amazing love story I’ve ever dreamed of. 2 weeks ago, he proposed to me over pancakes and with my intuition suspecting something special, I responded with a fortune cookie. 🥠.
