From hard training days with crowded rivers to battling warm waters and hot weather, this team showed resilience, determination, and an unwavering spirit. Watching them grow, adapt, and bond over these past weeks was nothing short of inspiring.
The most unforgettable moment was seeing the USA team leading by nearly 30 placing points after just three sessions! It was then that I knew these boys weren’t just competing, they were dominating. To witness them pull off not one, but TWO sub-10 placing point sessions, and to see them double and even triple the number of fish compared to previous competitors in some beats, was an incredible experience as their guide.
Seeing the team rise to victory was an incredible experience and something I’ll carry with me forever. And the individual podium sweep? Absolutely unreal. No one saw it coming, but the joy and pride it brought to the team and myself is indescribable.
To the boys, thank you for everything we’ve accomplished together. You’ve made me proud beyond words, and in the process, I’ve gained friends for life. Here’s to more rivers, more fish, and more memories. 🫶🏼

Throwback to an unforgettable fly fishing adventure with Fish & Trips. From fjords and open sea to rivers and lakes, we chased everything from pollock and cod to mackerel and wrasse, often from motorized belly boats. Incredible fishing, perfect locations, and even better company. Huge credit to Bert and the team for an outstanding trip I won’t forget anytime soon.
Three gorgeous days of pike fishing in the Netherlands. The numbers weren’t the best, but the scenery more than made up for it. Landed a few, enjoyed great times with my Dutch friends, and loved putting my @hanakcompetition Superb SWG 7100 to work. Hopefully next year brings more fish!

This fish was HARD-earned. After 3 bull trout trips where I had a few on the line but couldn’t seal the deal, it finally all came together on the fourth one and what a reward! At 76 cm, this absolute beast is my biggest bull trout from my trip to the US and an absolute dream catch😮💨👌

These suckers (pun intended) would normally be a fun fish to catch if they didn’t eat our flies while Steelhead fishing🥲 I can’t even explain the pain of thinking I hooked a Steelhead, only to land a SUCKERFISH😡
