Art Works is the ABC’s weekly arts show, hosted by the amazing Namila Benson. It was an absolute pleasure being part of Episode 23 of Series 03.
Thank you Namila 💜
This episode aired on Sunday 5PM on ABC TV and ABC iview in Australia.
Good times in Sydney at @semipermanent ✨ Many inspiring speakers, a curious and enthusiastic audience, catching up with friends and meeting new people.
I have been following Semi Permanent since 2002 when I started studying Art & Design at the Graphic Lyceum Rotterdam in The Netherlands.
Last weekend —twenty years later— it was an absolute pleasure and honor to be invited on stage and talk about my work.
Thousand times thanks to the team of Semi Permanent. And thank you for all the kind comments and messages.

Thank you @itsnicethat for featuring @snotmotion ! Words by Sudi Jama.
“Snotmotion is an animation studio founded by Kate Isobel Scott and her partner Jordy van den Nieuwendijk. Under this joint moniker, they’ve released three shorts “inspired by TV’s funniest Home Videos and YouTube compilations like 32 faceballs in 30 seconds,” says Jordy. Presenting 'Orchid in Rain' by artist Jordy van den Nieuwendijk (@jvdnieuwendijk ), the cover of our Incu Magazine ‘How We Live’ issue.
A long time collaborator and friend of Incu, Jordy brings his signature playfulness and optimism to this vibrant artwork to capture the feeling of home:
“Orchid in Rain celebrates the sensation of encountering a flower just after rainfall; seeing those still, glistening droplets clinging to the leaves, reflecting the light and deepening the colours, all mingled with that delicious wet-nature scent. I tried to capture the feeling of bringing those flowers indoors; nothing like a freshly cleaned house on a Sunday morning, topped off with a bunch of flowers on the table. I think this could very well be my favourite “Home” experience.”
