Precision engineering in action 👇 This component has several complex features, but the real challenge was ensuring the internal keyways and the spline were perfectly aligned. Achieving this required a mix of milling/slotting and wire EDM, supported by a custom fixture to guarantee accuracy. Projects like this are a reminder that even when only a couple of features are our responsibility, precision and alignment are everything. Small details make a big difference.

Here’s a look at a Carbide insert with a 5° taper, recently machined on our Mitsubishi MV2400S wire EDM. Carbide can be challenging, but with the right equipment and expertise, tight tolerances and complex features become routine. Our MV2400S allows us to consistently deliver high-precision components for demanding applications. Whether it’s tooling, prototyping, or production work we specialise in precision machining where others might hesitate.
