Headstock Repair and Refinish on this 1960s U1 Silvertone.
Im assuming the new tuners were installed without reaming out the tuner holes for the new ferrels, leaving tension on the headstock. So when it accidentally fell, it split. I remedied the chip outs where there was missing material and leveled the headstock to prepare for finish. I saved some of the red finish dust when sanding to fill in the gaps on the back of headstock. Finished in white on the front because I couldn’t match the existing red. 🎸 revived for my buddy @omeed1224
