Juventas is thrilled to announce our 2025–2026 Mainstage season, Journeys. This season, each program invites you to explore a different kind of journey—natural, cultural, or artistic—and reflects on how these experiences shape who we are, both as individuals and as a community. Last year, we celebrated our 20th anniversary with a record number of performances and new venues. This season, as we step into our next decade, we’ll continue this growth with 15 mainstage performances at 4 venues: the Multicultural Arts Center in Cambridge, First Parish Sudbury, Brattleboro Music Center, and New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill in Boylston. The season features 50+ living composers, 18 of whom are new to the Juventas stage! Club Magenta Subscriptions are on sale today! Buy tickets to 3 or more concerts and receive a 25% discount. This is the best promotion we offer, and also one of the strongest ways to support our ensemble. This year, we have expanded Club Magenta Subscriptions to include all ticket types (Regular, Senior, Student, and Music for All). Single tickets will be available starting August 12. Visit the link in our bio to explore the season and purchase subscription tickets!

Around the World in 80 Days is this weekend! We are looking forward to an evening surrounded by beautiful garden scenery, listening to piano pieces that originate from places all over the globe. Salina Fisher’s “Sumner Tides” was inspired by memories of her teenage years in her hometown of Ōtautahi Christchurch. An homage to Claude Debussy, this piece was created with the sea in mind— once surging and chaotic, now serene. Alain Pierre Pradel’s “Pomme Canelle” is just as inviting as its namesake, the sugar apple; a small green fruit native to the Caribbean which is eaten out of the hand or made into juices and sorbets. The mood of the piece is sweet and inviting, offered like a piece of fruit. Nkeiru Okoye wrote “African Sketches” with inspiration from her childhood years in Nigeria, her father’s homeland. Each movement of this four-movement suite captures a different moment in time that captures the charm of life through the eyes of a child. Isabelle Ryder’s “Fjord” was inspired by a boating expedition through the iceberg-strewn fjords of Greenland during her days as a scientist. These five pieces similarly take the audience on an expedition through glaciers, icebergs, and cold waters. Daniel Cueto’s “Rio” tells the story of a river that is born in the heights of the Peruvian cordillera, going through different stages and eventually flowing out into the Pacific. Adrian Wong was inspired to write “Childhood Sweet” thanks to his favorite Hong Kong desserts that he missed during college. Each movement is a love letter to a unique slice of Hong Kong culture, focusing on the memories behind each coveted treat. Jesse Plessis’ “Te Pari” was composed for for the film Flora Aurima Devatine, les étoiles de l’aurore - Te feti’a taiao ‘averau,’ a documentary about the life and work of the Tahitian poet, writer, and scholar Flora Aurima Devatine. Join us this Saturday and Sunday at the New England Botanic Garden for a concert you won’t want to miss! For tickets and information, visit /around-the-world-in-80-minutes or the linktree in our bio.

Today we're looking back at our last concert for solo piano, Echoes of the Wild! Performed last year by Julia Scott Carey for our 2024-2025 season, Legacy, this program featured pieces inspired by different American landscapes, all surrounded by the picturesque scenery of the @newenglandbg . Here, Julia performs the first movement of Oliver Caplan's Echoes on the Horizon, "Damson Meadows", inspired by the Columbia River Gorge between Oregon and Washington state. Love this performance and want to see more? Julia is performing at NEBG again this weekend! For tickets and information, visit /around-the-world-in-80-minutes or the linktree in our bio!
