My next post will be something other than police budget information. For example, the next largest cost driver is pension liabilities at approximately $380 million which is 17.4% of the budget.. when we combine police spending at $718 million which is 32.5% of the budget with pension liabilities that is half of our discretionary spending. This does not include $300 million for the fire department which comparatively is a great deal. Ultimately, we now have an inability to meaningfully address the myriad of other issues that require our attention such as infrastructure spending (from potholes to gopher holes), affordable housing, the homeless etc.. Our proposed budget must be revised to reflect community priorities not special interest spending. Vote Paul Suppa City Council District 2 San Diego!

June 2: - Establish who’s the better of the 2 candidates
After June 2: -Mobilize for main candidate!
That looks like posting on socials, volunteer to canvass, or just talking with your loved ones about the candidate and encouraging the dialogue of asking more of our elected officials.
November: -Vote en masse for main candidate! As well as continue mobilizing efforts.
We got this California! Let’s show the country and the world that we won’t let fascists speak for us!
