13 freezing days and @brigadefmx got it done. I glassed up this bull 1.5 miles across a canyon. Vince made a cold and slow but ultimately successful 5 hour stalk! Was the toughest hunt I’ve ever been a part of that’s for sure! Between the temps, 25 gusting 40 wind, the crunchy snow, the straight up and down terrain and all the other people blowing bulls out left and right wasn’t sure we were going to make it happen by the end. Congrats @brigadefmx ! Well deserved! And thanks @landondirnberger for the help those last 2 days!

My hunter Ray is 82 years old! The nicest guy you’d ever meet! He came up from PA at about 500ft elevation to 8500ft. He told me he couldn’t hike much so of course the universe decided to put a group of 4 bulls at 626 yards that we glassed up right from the road! He dropped him within a minute of us spotting them and was able to make the 3/4 mile walk out the ridge line to get his photo with his bull! He told me later that would be his last bull hunt. It is the rare occasion that one of us has a tag for ourselves, and we are not guiding. So far on this hunt the things that I’ve seen/experienced Not in chronological order. 1. A woman with a blown out tire driving solely on the rim (yes I changed her tire for her and she cried) 2. A blue and orange grasshopper @brigadefmx caught 3. The prettiest sunrises and sunsets (AZ beats NM on that one big time. 4. A female mountain lion stalking a group of big horn sheep and almost catching one. My cometary on the video is hilarious 5. Congratulations to my hunter Bill on this absolute stud of a bull. This was his 26th elk hunt over the years and the first time harvesting a bull! He told me he wanted a 6x with a whale tail.
