On the days when I know I really ain’t got it in me, I lean on the prayers my mama and aunties sent up for me long before I even knew I’d need them. And even in their absence, I know my grannies’ conversations with God are still covering me like a contract that never expired. I savor them the same way I do every warm good sip of coffee… slowly, gratefully. It’s what’s been carrying me through lately. Sigh.
I — I mean we — tried a couple of @talkencore flavors and rated them on a scale of 1–10. While I’m no big drinker, I will say these cocktails are perfect for that hot summer picnic I’m probably not planning to have. Or maybe now I just might.
Another day, another cafe at @canyoncoffee and I forgot to grab beans on the out for my home cafe. So I guess another visit will be in order the next time I’m in Brooklyn.
