wait for the reveal — I’ve been sitting on doing a paper doll inspired outfit for years and this year’s met gala theme: costume art and dress code: fashion is art felt like the perfect time to do it. focusing on the relationship of clothing to the body and being able to see all of the layers worn all at once while having a flat 2D layered paper look to the top layer and seeing the undergarments worn. I wanted the clothes to feel like they were floating over the body but look like they’re on body from straight on
