This project began as me writing songs for bass and voice nearly 10 years ago. I set out with the goal of being able to entertain with just my bass and my voice, playing songs that I wrote. This group of songs was all written 2017 - 2022. Over the pandemic I began fleshing them out, recording and playing all the instruments myself. They grew and evolved. I added Jim Kolacek on drums and percussion. Jim really, really helped bring these songs to life, as did Justin Tocket mixing em up for me.
I love songwriting and all it encompasses. Dreaming up these lil songs lyrically and musically, and working to achieve a cohesive combination of those elements, is probably the most fulfilling thing I’ve experienced artistically. I have been very inspired by the songwriters and friends that I have had the great joy of working with. I hope y’all find some joy in this!
