I sometimes have to close my eyes and wonder how this has even become my life; a friend said to me last week "that's a long way to go for a concert" which made me think of it's an experience you can enjoy and share with friends then no distance is too far. What an incredible quick trip to San Diego to see he unreal P!nk - I think maybe around my 10th time seeing her and she never disappoints.
We were very kindly amazingly gifted a vip table upgrade by the event promoter Curebound (that might've been the biggest win of the century) which meant we had a table at the very front, food, alcohol, an unbelievable view and just the most fantastic experience. The only thing missing was Chris Barnard 😔

Hendrix is a big bodied 15.2 5yo full Connemara imported from 🇬🇧.
A beautiful correct model with a solid build and a leg in each corner and an amazing brain; don't let his age deter you - he is wise beyond his years.
Prior to import, Hendrix had a varied life of fox hunting, showjumping and lots of xc.
He is a beautiful mover with the most lovely springy trot and a balanced canter with a big stride. Easy to put on the bit and gives a great feel; will continue to get better and better as he gets stronger and more balanced but certainly moves well enough to be a straight dressage horse.
Hendrix is your typical Connemara over fences: has that automatic 5th leg if his rider misses and doesn't every get offended, is extremely bold (happily jumps all our scary fillers and Liverpool with water in), has scope for days and is careful without being too careful for an amateur or kid. He is very patient and will go off of literally any distance. He is the same xc and is a lot of fun!
Hendrix would suit an amateur or junior in a program to continue producing. Has been ridden by a multitude of riders including nervous kids and novice adults. He has enough about him to climb the levels of eventing and would have the ability for modified/one star. Would also make a fun lower level jumper, dressage horse or a fox hunter. Or do it all!

We are so pleased with how the lovely 5yo 15:2 Connemara Hendrix has been progressing at home, making leaps and bounds in his training on the flat and over fences.
He has the most lovely springy trot with a great canter and more movement in there as he gets stronger. He is a little machine to jump, super brave, never looks at a thing, goes off any distance and makes a great shape with tons of scope to move up the levels eventing or showjumpjng. He is forward going with a nice motor and just wants to be a good boy 🦄

RIP RAVELLO 😞
Got some sad news this weekend that my first proper jumper Ravello had to be put to sleep at the age of 20 due to suspected cancer.
Ravello touched the hearts and loves of so many and was the most kind, giving gracious horse. When I first met him, I was on a shopping trip in the uk looking for my first Grand Prix horse. We almost didn't get to see him as it was so windy the jumps wouldn't stay up, but they managed to put feed bags on the standards and so I could try him. When he arrived and got off the trailer I said to @ktequestrian1 "he's far too big for me, I don't want to get on" but she told me to just watch him and at least try. I was surprised to realize that I actually loved riding him, he was so broke and just an old kind soul. He did however end up second on my list but my first choice didn't vet so I somehow ended up with this 17hh built like a limo with a crater for a back.
He had jumped to 145 with his previous girl @jenna.palmer.evans and so I was excited to get going. He was so strong for me at first and I had zero clue how to ride him but he was so patient with me while I figured it out. He took me to my first 135, my first 140, first regional, American and national grand prixs and first night classes. My first few grand prixs I had no business jumping yet he just kept on going and gave me so much confidence.
I truly believe without Ravello, I wouldn't have the tools and skill set to have produced all the horses I've had since him. He eventually had a career ending injury but was permanently leased to cancer survivor Gina Leavitt who gave him the most amazing life for the last 3 years being loved, hacked and very spoiled.
Horses like Ravello don't come into your life very often and I am so grateful that I was lucky enough to have been his person. The kindest boy with the biggest heart, you will be missed by many Rav 💔 #ravello
An amazing end to Jimmy's spring circuit - he jumped a beautiful clear round in the 140 GP this morning with one really cheap one down in the jump off to bring home a 10th place ribbon out of a strong field. So so thrilled with how easy he made it feel today and how consistent he's been all spring. Both 6yo Metallica and 7yo Rhubarb put in a good effort for the 125 classic today. Mickey's first time ever jumping the height and Rhubarb and I's first time together at the level.
Metallica put in a really mature round with a very sad pole down at the third fence - an onside turn to a big oxer. Just a baby mistake but he has to learn that things will start to come up quicker. Other than his mother riding like a bit of moron down one line, he really was spectacular and stepped up seamlessly.
Rhubarb was such a good boy, still getting acclimatized to the Florida heat so a little tired today so got a little strong in my hand. A couple of early poles when I didn't give him enough room in time but the round got better and better as we went. He's so brave and game and so much fun, I just have to work on the rideability now.

3/3 double clear rounds for the whole squad today!
Rhubarb started out the day in the open 120 jump off class putting in a really great clear first round and a super attempt in the jump off for another clear to take home 3rd. This boy just gets better and better and I'm so excited for the summer at WEC with him.
Metallica continued his clear round streak putting in a perfect clear first round in the open 120 then really starting to figure out the jump offs to storm around clear and just beat his brother for 2nd place! He truly is a genius and the most fun, reliable partner.
Jimmy finished out the day not to be outdone by his two younger brothers by putting in an excellent double clear round in the 5k Welcome to finish 5th. He is making it all feel so easy now and has become so confident and consistent and we are really looking forward to jumping another Grand Prix Sunday.
