“‘I See You, You See Me’ is a duet that navigates the nuances and complexities of a queer relationship. It draws from my lived experience as a QPOC and it’s those lived experiences that inspired me to make the piece.”

The time has come. This week marks the start of creation for the duet piece “I See you. You see me.”
The duet navigates and captures the nuances and complexities of a queer relationship. It explores the themes of friendship, rivalry, boundaries, love, both in a romantic sense as well as in a platonic way that champions camaraderie and sibling love. It draws from lived experience as a QPOC and is loosely based on a narrative with elements of abstract moments. It is a conversation between two bodies in space working to reach an understanding of each other as well as oneself.
Due to be shown at @serendipityinstituteuk Let’s Dance International Frontier festival ‘26 solos & duets (new works) on 1st May. (More info to follow)
It will feature the incredible dance artists @theocanhamspence & @conn_sistently_iconnique94 and choreographed by myself.
Huge thank you to @beccaa_hunt for filming and editing this footage.
