The Freja Vest by @just_patterns 🥰✨ Honestly, I’ve worn this vest so many times since I finished making it, and it has officially become my absolute go-to pattern! The only problem? I always forget to take pictures when I’m actually wearing it out. 😂 Anyone else guilty of wearing their me-mades on repeat but never getting the proof? 🙋‍♀️

Two years ago, Delphine sewed the first toile of the #JPInesDress, which for me is THE dress, and I had the pleasure of testing it ( pinned my version on my feed). Since then, I’ve always wanted to make a second version in denim — and here it is. In the video, I wore it last winter with a long-sleeved tee underneath and a cardigan over it #DenimAddict #ISewMyOwnClothes

Retrouver mon sud. Le dressing de l’été. Les dimanches farniente. Ma pink addiction. Et des projets maille ultra confort ! 💕 « j’avais même pas remarqué que c’était un tissu maillot de bain ta robe! » Comme beaucoup d’entre vous lors du live d’hier, j’ai complètement craqué sur cette maille Perla @torrettotessuti ! Un hybride amphibie idéal pour un dressing aussi efficace au bord de l’eau pour siroter une citronnade que pour plonger dans la piscine ! 🏊‍♀️ Pour flatter ce motif hyper généreux🌹, j’ai choisi un modèle très simple dans sa conception, à porter en pièce forte et qui accompagnera sans épreuve mes courbes tout au long de l’été ; la robe Jeanne @evelynepatterns . J’ai réalisé une taille au dessus de ma taille habituelle dans sa version sans manche et ultra longue ; que j’ai agrémentée de fentes latérales pour pouvoir marcher en crabe facilement 😂🤰(celles qui savent savent ) Comme quoi les matières nous offrent d’infinies possibilités et c’est à notre créativité de jouer! 🎨 Ps : Et pour la suite du programme je pense même réaliser un bikini dans mes chutes ! C’est pas la classe d’avoir le maillot assorti à sa robe ?!?!? I am beyond excited about this double border fabric arrival from Beyond the pink door!!! I'm going to make a Devon skirt by Just Patterns and a sleeveless top to go with using the smaller border edge. If anyone has any suggestions for sleeveless cropped or slightly cropped tops that have a straight hem please let me know.. thanks!

Part 2 of winter sewing inspo! This time we’re talking bottoms.

i ventured into vest territory & am now quickly retreating 😅 i wanted to try out a denim vest & made the @just_patterns #jpfrejavest ❤️ sz 34 (i’m between 34-36 & opted to size down) + unlined version + no pockets + removed 3” from bottom hem + swapped the back belt for lil ties. i also did a lazy SBA by trimming off 0.5” from the bust apex curve of the side front pattern piece & i think it worked well… what i did not anticipate is how full my upper bust measurement is due to my BACK 💪🏽 hehe so while i achieved a good fit up front, it’s a bit snug at the back (see last pic of the back neckline flaring out from the tension) womp womp the unlined version of this vest appears to be a later add-on to the pattern so the instructions were kind of bare & i now think it would have been best to make the original lined pattern THEN try the unlined variation to fully understand what to do 🤷🏻‍♀️ made w leftover japanese denim from @kokkafabrics that i bleached to get a light wash look ❤️ if i were to revisit this pattern, i’d choose sz 36-38 & do my lil SBA for the perfect fit 🤔 #memade #sewistofinstagram #frejavest [Image ID in alt text]
