Save the dates! The 9th season of the Torrey Chamber Music Festival is coming this June, and it's a journey to the Wild West! We can't wait to bring you thrilling performances by dynamic musicians, featuring American composers as well as music from around the world by composers who "went West." Expect familiar faces as well as a new star or two! Concerts will take place at the brand new Entrada Cultural Center in Torrey, with additional performances in Hanksville, Boulder, and more. A detailed schedule and artist line-up will be announced soon, so stay tuned! Also, NEW YEAR NEWS! As many friends and supporters of TCMF know, Artistic Directors Leah and Koko welcomed a baby boy to their family this fall 🙂 They will be taking a step back this year from festival leadership to prioritize this special time. Leah and Koko, chair Ada Mae Crouse, and the entire board are delighted to announce violinist @jusellll as interim Artistic Director for the 2026 Season! Chris has been an integral part of TCMF over the years, celebrated by audiences for his dynamic and exhilarating performances and beloved by our Strings Camp students. We are delighted to share with ya’ll, our live album ‘Columbia Deluxe’ out July 11th on @americandreamsrecords . Recorded live at The Columbia Experimental Music Festival 2021 presented by @dismalniche , this record captures our first ( and to date, sole) live performance. What is captured on this record is us expanding, trying things, as nervous and excited as could be to in a room together sharing this music in the wild for the first time. New ideas, exploring our repertoire, sometimes fumbling, often blossoming. We couldn’t be more grateful to share this document of our growth as a band with ya’ll. A little while back we had the honor of scoring the short film “Concrete River” @the_concrete_river Directed by @mscottphoto & @codywhitman as part of a project documenting the complex relationships between Los Angeles and it’s most well known waterway, the L.A. River. Focusing on a specific point in the river gives the project a way to expand on the stories told by the river and the people who utilize it. .
