En esa etapa, incluso logró infiltrarse de forma casi mística en la cultura popular japonesa al colar una versión alternativa del tema Sherry en máquinas de karaoke como parte de un tributo a Yutaka Ozaki. Tras múltiples exploraciones sonoras —incluyendo proyectos de improvisación con instrumentos étnicos y propuestas experimentales con secuencias electrónicas— emergió su proyecto solista: JUNXPUNX. En 2014 lanzó su primer álbum con el sello ruso Osom Music, llevándolo a escenarios internacionales y a una intensa gira por Europa. Sin embargo, en 2016, un fuerte episodio de vértigo lo obligó a desaparecer completamente del mapa, entrando en un silencio profundo… como una pausa antes del renacimiento. En 2020 regresa con fuerza con su segundo álbum Mekurumeku, marcando una nueva etapa donde la guitarra se fusiona con tecnología Vocaloid, creando un sonido que habita entre lo explosivo y lo trascendental. @junxpunx 🇯🇵 Emerging from the raw intensity of underground extreme music, JUNXPUNX began his sonic journey in 1994, drawing deep influence from death metal, grindcore, and powerviolence. As the guitarist and songwriter for the hardcore band Fasts, he released music through the US-based Sound Pollution Records and even left a cryptic mark on Sony’s Yutaka Ozaki tribute—sneaking a unique “Fasts version” of Sherry into karaoke systems across Japan. Following the band’s disbandment, he explored diverse sonic territories through experimental projects, including improvisational ensembles with ethnic instruments and the space-driven hardcore act Zenpoukoenfun (2AD), blending sequencers with chaotic energy. These explorations ultimately shaped his evolution into a solo project: JUNXPUNX. In 2014, he released his debut album via Russia’s Osom Music, leading to international recognition, multiple global festival appearances, and an extensive three-month European tour. However, in 2016, a sudden and severe health condition forced him into a complete hiatus from music and the digital world. After years of silence, JUNXPUNX made a powerful return in 2020 with his self-released second album Mekurumeku, marking a rebirth of his sound and vision. Today, JUNXPUNX exists in a constant state of transformation—fusing guitar-driven aggression with Vocaloid elements, creating a unique soundscape that oscillates between explosive intensity and psychedelic transcendence. His music captures fleeting beauty under tension, resonating deeply with listeners on both emotional and visceral levels.
