Junk Ensemble presents STORM 1.0
Set inside a building that can no longer protect them, two dancers and a tuba player navigate a shifting, unsteady world. Humour leaks through the cracks. Absurdity becomes armour. Resistance takes on strange, comic forms, as STORM 1.0 explores what it means to continue together in a world that refuses to be repaired.
Presented by Cairde Sligo Arts Festival in association with Dublin Dance Festival and Hawk’s Well Theatre.

Forte e delicato al contempo, “Dances Like a Bomb” è un duetto che affronta con umorismo e tenerezza il tema dell'invecchiamento e dell'assistenza nella terza età.
Dietro al grande successo internazionale di questa produzione ci sono le gemelle irlandesi Jessica e Megan Kennedy del Junk Ensemble di Dublino. Insieme ai due performer Finola Cronin e Mikel Murfi hanno creato uno spettacolo di teatro-danza che indaga nella relazione tra due persone anziane.
In scena troviamo la stessa Finola Cronin, ex ballerina di Pina Bausch al Tanztheater Wuppertal, e l'attore Luc Dunberry, in precedenza nella compagnia di Sascha Waltz.

Announcing ‘STORM 1.0’ – A world premiere from Junk Ensemble, arriving on stage this May.
Two dancers (Imogen Alvares @imialvares._ and Amir Sabra @ameersabra ) and a live tuba player (Les Neish @lestuba ) battle a storm that seeps through walls, bodies and sound. Amid debris and collapse, humour and intimacy become acts of resistance.
