Til Skabninger Samlinger # 2 viste Jeuno 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝐍𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐃𝐨𝐨𝐫 (𝐒𝐞𝐨𝐮𝐥-𝐂𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧)
"This performance is in dialogue with "The Room Next Door" by Pedro Almodóvar which follows two women, Martha, a terminally ill former war photographer, and her estranged friend Ingrid, who reunite as Ingrid stays close while Martha prepares to end her life through euthanasia.
Adapted from Sigrid Nunez’ novel "What Are You Going Through", the film portrays a compassionate presence in the face of death, emphasizing listening, staying, and shared vulnerability rather than pity or denial.
Despite its somber themes, the film’s colorful set design inspired the textile sculptures, soundtrack, and choreography of this 30-minute performance, continuing Almodóvar’s chain of adaptation."
Tak for at dele din performance med os!
