📍 Emigrant, Montana. A trip I’ll never forget. @caitylove.photo and I had the chance to stay at the incredible @juniperhousemt through @cohocollective , and it was everything you’d dream of! Wide open views, amazing sunrises, creating content, and that pure Montana air that makes you slow down and take it all in. Huge shoutout to @ohhems & @austin_henley_ — two of the kindest human beings. Not only did they host us, but they let us capture their engagement photos in Montana (an absolute honor 🙌). On top of that, they gave us a full VIP tour of Yellowstone National Park, from bison sightings to hearing wolves howling to collecting rocks and golden light over the valley, it was unreal. And of course, collaborating and hanging out with @thatmontanagirl was the perfect mix of creativity and connection. We created, laughed, explored, and took time to just be. Feeling beyond grateful to do what I love. To travel, create, photograph, and connect with amazing people in beautiful places like this. Slow mornings, fresh mountain air, and nowhere to be. Just how we like it.

Back in October in Montana, I remember standing there at the @juniperhousemt , with a coffee, looking out at those mountains and feeling something I couldn’t fully explain. Not excitement. Not fear. Something heavier… like truth. I knew this moment was coming… I just delayed it. I told myself “not yet,” while a part of me already knew it was time. Fast forward to this week, this is my last week at Opportunity Junction, after 8 years serving as the Director of Employer Engagement. And yeah… that hits me harder than I expected. Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it. That place gave me purpose, people, impact… it shaped me in ways I’ll carry forever. But I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t emotional stepping away from comfort into uncertainty. Because this is me taking the leap of faith. Escaping the comfort zone I’ve known for years. And even in the unknown… I know my parachute will open. I’m going all in with my branding and portrait photography. No safety net. No delay. No more waiting for the “perfect” time. Just trust. Just action. Just me finally choosing what I’ve known since that cold, beautiful morning in Montana. If you’ve been feeling that same pull… this is your sign. Take the leap. Walking through The Juniper House is pure Paradise Valley magic ✨ Located in Emigrant, Montana just under 30 minutes from Yellowstone, this cozy two-bedroom stay features stunning views of the Absaroka Range.

During my photography career, I’ve photographed traditional Airbnb and rental properties. Clean lines. Wide shots. Everything in its place. But at the end of the day, it doesn’t light me up. What actually lights me up, fuels my creative spirit and what I I am looking to build into my portfolio in 2026, is lifestyle-first storytelling. Yes, the bed still gets made. The space still matters. But the story lives in the coffee on the porch, the walk into town, the sunrise and slow mornings, and the reason someone chose this place to unplug. I’m focused this year to expand on Airbnb + lifestyle first story telling content that captures the emotions, the local town, community, and experience, not just the layout. Right now, as I continue to build this part of my portfolio, I’m looking for short-term rentals and/or one traveling couple who wants their trip documented, either as a paid investment or, for the right fit, a weekend stay trade, including food & local travel, in exchange for a full professional content shoot. This is for hosts who want more than clean, wide photos. And for the travelers who want their time away captured in a way that feels real, emotional, cinematic, and lasting.
