Molly here, with a new logo and personal story behind it. 🌿
The name of our company was informed first and foremost by our food, but just as importantly, the feeling that we wanted it to give to our guests: fresh, vibrant, nourishing, and energizing. As we've evolved over the last 6 (!!) years, there is now so much more to Juniper Green than food — we have found a home with thriving, verdant spaces to gather in. We wanted our brand to mature along with us, and find an evocative image that would signify our approach to hospitality wherever we may go in the future.
My mother is my favorite artist, and the way she taught me to celebrate beauty in all things (and share it with others) is the bedrock of our brand. One of her favorite shapes/symbols is a ginkgo leaf, and I think of her whenever I see them. I mentioned that we were considering creating a new logo and needed to update the botanical references to be something more iconic and timeless, and she sent this back to me and sketched it while we were chatting. It was perfect. It contains a ginkgo leaf, (which symbolizes hope, longevity, duality, and love) and the berries of a juniper tree (which can mean protection, ritual, and blessing), and she drew it by hand.
It's deeply personal, like everything we do.
