As 2024 closes, I will be celebrating my 30 incredible years of DJing and promoting the techno and electro sound through different decades. It’s been a journey filled with unforgettable moments, meeting amazing people, making lifelong friends from around the globe, and receiving so much love and respect.
I’m proud of what I’ve achieved for the local scene, alongside so many friends, and proud to be one of the first to push this sound—not just in Malta but also in Europe.
Looking ahead, I feel young, healthy, and inspired to give back to the scene that gave me so much. With the clubbing culture facing tough times and the rise of TikTok techno, we launched @hsejjes_techno_mt last November. The overwhelming feedback fueled our passion, and now we’re thrilled that we unveiled our Winter 2025 calendar, featuring top international and local techno artists.
Passion drives me to invest my time, energy, and experience to keep the sound alive. Here’s to the future of techno and the amazing journey ahead.

Not music related for once 🙂
I’m not a coach or a doctor, and definitely not a “know-it-all”, just sharing something that really helped me.
I started running daily during the early Covid days and never stopped. It didn’t only change my body… it cleared my mind. I feel healthier, calmer and more productive.
Honestly, no alcohol, drugs or anything else gives you that same clean feeling afterwards.
A doctor once told me, every day we drink, eat, sleep, work and shower, daily exercise should be one of them.
You don’t need to become an athlete (I'm not)
Just move. Walk, jog, gym, swim… anything.
Your future self will thank you for it.
Take care of your body and your mind will follow.
Last year this photo captured a reality I was living. Tired. Exhausted. Running on passion more than energy. The love for music never disappeared, that part never does. But your body and your mind start sending messages. I’m not 20 anymore, when sleep didn’t matter and limits didn’t exist. And that’s okay.
Today I love what I do in a different way. Less in the limelight, but still active, still involved, still connected to the music and the people.
More aware and balanced.
To the younger ones: if music is your true passion, go for it. It gives energy and unforgettable moments, just remember to take care of yourself along the way.
On a wintery day like today, it feels right to stay in, slow down, and go through old photos with my family. My kids stopped at this one and started laughing at my “weird face” and honestly I don’t blame them.
This photo was taken after sunrise, around 2001. It was a Sunday morning, after a long night and a gig. No sleep, just that quiet moment when the night slowly hands over to the day.
Back then, we used to love staying awake after a Rave, grabbing a burger, a hotdog or a pastizz from Serkin, sitting somewhere together and watching the sky change colours after a party.
This year I decided to slow down with less gigs and less social media. After 30 years in the electronic scene, it felt right to take a step back from long nights out and sometimes shows abroad.
I’m so grateful for everything the scene has given me, and it’s a joy to see young talents growing, even if local exposure isn’t what it used to be. Slowing down also means more quality time with my family, which is a top priority for me, while at the same time I can continue living my passion through my new full time role, working with an amazing team to organise one of the biggest local festivals and contributing behind the scenes in the music industry in new ways.
I’m excited for 2026, full of energy, passion and new adventures, both on and off the stage.
Christmas holidays are officially on.
Time to slow down and invest in family, nature, and books. Reading helps me switch off, explore new perspectives and keep growing, especially autobiographies, history and everyday-life topics.
Happy holidays everyone, make the most of it.
Back in the days for Rave events we didn’t ask for permission, as we didn’t follow rules and it wasn’t built for profit. No hierarchy. No industry. No status quo.
It was music without structure and the collective over the individual. Very far from what much of today’s dance culture has become.
This photo was taken many years ago, while a group of friends and I were planning an illegal rave in Selmun. Those moments shaped everything that came after.
One of the biggest changes I’ve made this year is cutting down my gigs, not because the passion faded, but because my family comes first.
Sundays have become sacred. Instead of dragging myself out of bed after a long night, I want to wake up fresh, spend time with my family, and explore nature together. These quiet moments mean more to me than any booth or stage ever could.
I still love music deeply… but this is what truly fills me. This is my kind of Sunday, family first, always.
