人とみんな
2025
During the summer of 2025, I had the chance to travel to Japan for the first time something I had dreamed of for years. While there, I photographed strangers in quieter settings, capturing moments and faces far from the usual crowds of major cities. This series is also dedicated to the photographer
@papesan @papesan.shots , whose work has played a key role in rekindling my passion for street photography and whom I deeply admire.
In the crowd, everyone moves at their own pace, lost in thought, absorbed in their actions or fixated on their screens. At the heart of this collective movement, I observe the invisible distances that separate people, and the inner silences that inhabit even the noisiest of places. “Alone and among everyone” is an exploration of modern loneliness: the kind that persists despite proximity; the kind we carry within us like a familiar shadow. This series was born in Japan, in cities of continuous flow and multiple facets, where urban density makes loneliness even more palpable. Through street photography, I seek to capture those suspended moments when, amidst the chaos, a presence isolates itself and detaches from the common rhythm. The images bear witness to our shared humanity: the absent gaze, the hurried step and the light that either isolates or reveals. This work questions my perception of connection, time and presence, and is a subtle tribute to the people we pass by without ever really seeing.
