Ephemerides, now in better color! Thanks to @t__feiner for the tips.

We introduce Ephemerides, a Microtonal Feedback Instrument based on Trans Voice Technique
Videography @ohkestrel_film
I've been calling myself a woman for over a year and I feel like I never have before, stable, confident, and secure. The dissociative tendencies I had are all but dissipated. I feel a sense of community with queer folk, especially trans lesbians, in a mutual expression of sexuality, solidarity, and shared desire. Sometimes I can't believe that things can get better, and when they do it's directly sourced from the communities I'm a part of.
I'm incredibly happy to be trans, and if I could only tell myself years ago what's possible and attainable I would. My work, my art, and my social life are starting to align in beautiful ways, and I'm really excited about what's next.
NIME 2025
Stands on its own, from a weird and liminal Australian winter to seeing wonderful research and instruments made around the world. Co-running a workshop with extremely helpful collaborators. meeting incredible people and making worldwide connections, it's been intense. Gearing up for another 30 hours of travel I'm looking forward to finding my way back to London x
I'm a lesbian academic now
year 1 of the phd has been fantastic, I've been designing a new version of my microtonal instrument ephemerides that incorporates vocal resonance as a primary mode of making notes. @augmentedinstrumentslab is the coolest place to be and it's already been a wild ride. I'm presenting a workshop next month in Australia on "entangled listening". much more to come ~

The date is Thursday 31st October. It’s Halloween, and you’re getting ready to go to Naughty Fingers at @spanners.club 👽
Awaiting you are some of London’s hottest computer scientists, preparing to reprogram your brain, body and booty into letting loose.
You arrive and are not quite sure what you’ve walked into. The bar is brimming with unholy spirits. The hazy glow from the projector is intoxicating. An unnerving bassline rumbles your bones and you start to move your feet. Left, then right.
The unearthly sound of a synthesiser penetrates your skull. Your hips sway. Your body seems to be moving of its own accord. You look round and everyone seems to be moving, shaking, wiggling.
The kick drum posseses you and you find yourself in flow with the other bodies around you… 🧟♀️
It’s algorave, but not as you know it.
