✨ What a blast Takeover Festival 2026 was! 🤩
Pupils from St. Joseph's Primary School worked hard all year to bring a free, family friendly festival all themed on Animals & Minibeasts to Junction at the start of May, and we think they did an absolutely fantastic job! 🦁
🐒 From a life size orangutan & crazy beehives, to crafts, music making & more, families from Goole and beyond came to enjoy a fabulous range of activities all planned by the pupils. 🐜
💫 Some of the pupils also worked roles at the festival, as 'Young Producers' - participating in Q&A sessions with companies, front of house roles advising attendees about the events on, as well as running a crafting stall. 💪
✨ Big round of applause to those at St. Joseph's!! ✨
If you attended the festival, we've a little favour to ask you - if you have just a moment, would you complete our Festival Feedback Form? 🙏
Your feedback and comments are *so* important to us, not just so we know how to shape future events at Junction, but also to secure more funding to continue bringing you free or lower cost events like Takeover Festival. 🥰
It only takes a moment - if you'd be happy to, find the link to do so here 👇

👋 From the 4th - 10th May, it's Deaf Awareness Week, an annual event raising awareness about deafness and celebrating British deaf culture, community, and history.
Why's it important we have Deaf Awareness Week? Well in the UK, around half of deaf children are born deaf. The other half are born hearing and become deaf as they get older. It's so important we recognise that communication is a fundamental human right for everyone, and do what we can to break down barriers 💪
Want to get involved? 🙌 You can join us for a monthly BSL Cafe (@bslcafe_junctiontheatregoole ) - a British Sign Language social meet up for d/Deaf and hard of hearing users of BSL in Junction’s cosy Café Bar! Suitable for everyone, from complete beginners or more experienced users.
☕ The BSL Café runs for 2 hours, from 10am – 12noon, and our next one is Sat 9 May. All are welcome!
👌 And over in Doncaster on Thu 7 May, join The Carr Fenton Foundation for an engaging, inspiring, and interactive event focused on improving Deaf awareness in employment.
Whether you're an employer, organisation, or team member, this is your chance to learn, connect, and make a difference.
🥐 Breakfast refreshments provided
