Fantastic roast dinners & @bristolbeerfactory pints at 📍 @junctionbbf from @cordkitchen ad | invite @VisitBristol #VisitBristol I interviewed @melissastorey for her #FoodFriday piece recently and she mentioned how much she loved the crispy pork belly and massive jugs of gravy from @cordkitchen … so obviously I had to go 👀 The pork belly roast (£17.75) was cracking - properly crispy fennel salt crackling, really well-seasoned pork and lovely to have the apple sauce alongside. We also tried the beef roast (£18.50), cooked medium rare and piled high with roast potatoes, seasonal veg, sweet carrots, parsnip purée and a Yorkshire pudding. If you’re debating sides… just get them. The cauliflower cheese (£5) was excellent and the charred hispi cabbage with tamari seeds (£4) was so good. The roasts are really filling, but we still had to finish with dessert as we’ve got a massive sweet tooth. We went for the sticky toffee pudding which was excellent (£8.75) and warm chocolate brownie (£8). To drink, Hal and I got a pint of BBF Clear Head (which is their award winning alcohol-free IPA) and an Infinity Lager - perfectly paired with the food. 🍻 A really lovely way to spend a Sunday at Wapping Wharf ❤️ ps. As someone who doesn’t drink, it was great to see a wide range of quality alcohol free options, including a couple of mocktails which took our fancy. We opted for the SEA BREEZE (minty and refreshing) and the EARL GREY PEACH ICED TEA (need I explain?). Now for burgers. In your ‘pickle girl’ era? The VEGAN DANDAN has got you covered (In Lao Gan Ma-yo we trust). Craving something sweet and salty? Then you butter be ready, as the VEGAN PB+K is packed with lashings of house made kimchi and crunchy peanut butter.
