Today our second album Two Birds is out via Mtn. Laurel Recording Co. We are so excited for you to hear it all :) At some point when we were writing this album we realized it is just totally and completely about our relationship. We started writing it the night we moved away from each other after nine years of living together, and in the following months we met up and we wrote it to affirm what we mean to each other. It has been the most intimate depiction of our friendship, and something we have only been able to fully realize through our ongoing collaboration with James (who co wrote, engineered, played on, produced, and mixed this album) and Felix (playing and helping with additional production). <3 Here we present to you many versions of what it can look like to love someone, to change with them. Thank you to @elijahwolf who has put so much support behind us for these past two albums, as a label, manager, and friend. “Two Birds”, the second Sister. album, comes out 7/11 on @mtnlaurelrecordingco . You can listen to the title single everywhere now. This album is about our decade-plus long friendship. Hannah and I wrote the song “Two Birds” when we were moving out of our old apartment to live apart from each other for the first time in nine years. That last night we tried to go to a friend’s birthday party and both cried too much so had to leave immediately. We sat down in our packed up music room and needed to create something to share. At the core of anything we make we are trying to draw lines in the sand about what our relationship means to each other and then we draw them again and again and again.
