Round 1 – Fire in the Mountains, Smith Creek, West Kelowna, BC.
A wild opener to the season at Smith Creek with very dry race-day conditions, deep dust, blown-out corners, and harsh midday sun that kept both riders and media on their toes.
Despite the challenge, the racing delivered all day with riders pushing hard and sending it top to bottom. Great atmosphere, great energy, and even better to be back shooting the CES and seeing everyone back between the tape.
Matthew Fairbrother is well known for some crazy feats of endurance and this one I got to witness first hand. Myself and @olliegregoryjones were tasked with capturing this wild adventure. 6am Thursday morning we set out chasing him down, we thought he would be fast, but we had no idea he would be this fast. We spend the next 24hrs running,riding,driving like mad men trying to setup, capture and create content of Matt doing what he does best.
