@eqkidbooks One of the most beautiful things I’ve learned as a mom is that our children don’t just listen to what we say. They feel who we are. The way we show up every day becomes their blueprint for how to move through the world. How I speak to myself, how I handle challenges, how I breathe through the hard moments, and how I love others… she’s watching it all. She’s not just hearing my words. She’s absorbing my energy, my tone, my presence. When I’m grounded, she feels safe. When I’m patient, she relaxes. When I honor my emotions instead of pushing them away, she learns that it’s okay to feel. Our children are mirrors, reflecting back the love, calm, and compassion we pour into them, or the chaos and stress we carry when we forget to slow down. And sometimes, they gently remind us to come back home to ourselves. It’s humbling to realize that as much as we are teaching them, they are also teaching us how to be. Every day, my daughter shows me that how I show up for myself is how she will learn to show up for herself too. #ConsciousParenting #MindfulMotherhood #ParentingWithPresence #EmotionalIntelligence #RaisingTheNextGeneration #EQKidBooks

I incorporated ZuGo Inc in 2013, and it’s evolved to manufacturing a surplus of products, from dog products to eco-products to electric bikes and accessories. Entrepreneurship isn’t easy, it is not for everyone, and it’s not full of good or bad times. It’s a cluster of emotions, and the only constant thing is CHANGE! Entrepreneurship is a roller coaster of emotions ranging from bliss, loneliness, depression, anxiety, debt, substantial monetary losses, and decision-making that can make or break your company. It’s working your butt off and figuring it out as you go, but if you genuinely know that YOU WILL FIGURE OUT THE ALGORITHM of the business you’re pursuing, you can’t fail because you never give up. When one thing doesn’t work, you try a different approach and repeat until it works for the season. Then there is also the other side of entrepreneurship. You can feel excitement, joy, gratitude, fun, happiness, independence, growth, transformation, adventure, inner wealth, and more. The first clip of this video was when I sold out of all my @zugopet Jetsetters for my first production round. For almost a year, I had a mountain of ZuGoPet products in every area of my living space. I tried farmers' markets, crowdfunding, social media, hired a PR agency, and pet expos, but what made it happen was my persistence and not giving up. And that’s still the factor today. This video is a tiny clip of my journey, but the big picture is ten years of not giving up and doing the best I can with what I’ve learned. I would love to hear about your journey, where you feel stuck, and where you want support. Don’t feel like you’re alone. You don’t need to be.

Growth is a journey that doesn’t come without its hurdles. The progress I’ve made hasn’t been easy… it’s been a road filled with challenges, mental breakdowns, and moments I’m not proud of. But you know what? That’s where the real growth happens. It’s through the struggle, the setbacks, and the raw moments that we learn, evolve, and rise stronger than before. It’s all part of the process. TTP = trust the process. We’re not meant to have it all figured out from the start. It’s about showing up, getting back up, and trusting that the lessons are worth it. Here’s to embracing the highs, the lows, and everything in between. šŸ™Œ

I was one of the first wave of women to come forward about Harvey Weinstein, sharing my story publicly before the #MeToo movement gained traction, following The New York Times article. I also made the decision to press charges against him for sexual assault in California supporting the other Jane Does with the DA. For so long, we’ve heard his voice and his narrative. It’s time for that to change. The voices of the survivors, the voices of those who have been hurt, must be heard more than ever. Yet, people are still interviewing Harvey. Harvey Weinstein’s legacy is not one that should be shaped by his attempt to change the story, but by the truth that affects so many lives. If we are truly going to make a difference, we need to continue listening to more survivors, amplifying their stories, and creating space for healing. The #MeToo movement is not just about one person. It is about all of us, reclaiming our power, breaking the silence, and ensuring that sexual assault and rape are no longer hidden or excused. Our conversation and our commitment to justice must continue. It’s time to focus on truth and healing, not on the legacy of someone who has caused so much pain. #emotionalintelligence #mindsetshift #forgiveness

Underneath the jokes, I feel what she’s really asking… ā€œDo I matter that much to you?ā€ ā€œAm I missed?ā€ ā€œAm I loved when I’m not right next to you?ā€ And the answer is always yes. In the quiet, in the chaos, in the laughter. And maybe that’s why she films these moments, because even at her age, she knows something worth keeping when she feels it. The in-between moments. The unscripted ones. The ones where love isn’t perfect, it’s playful, loud, and real. Because one day, she’ll look back and remember not just that I loved her, but how it felt and all our moments of connection and play.

There were moments I didn’t think I could keep going. Becoming a single mom wasn’t part of the plan. Neither was rebuilding my life from the ground up… while trying to hold everything together for my child. I built a company with someone I trusted. I poured years of energy and belief into it. And then, without warning, it was gone. Bankrupt. Shut down. My world flipped overnight. No heads up. No safety net. Just responsibility. And my little girl watching me. I had every reason to walk away. To say ā€œthis is too much.ā€ To choose the easier path. But when you’re a mother, ā€œgiving upā€ doesn’t really exist. So I did the only thing I could do… I stood back up. I fought for the company. I fought through the courts. I fought through fear, exhaustion, and moments where I had no idea how I was going to make it through the week. And somehow… I bought it back. Not because it was easy. Not because it made logical sense. But because I refused to let my child’s stability be decided for us. I refused to let our story end there. To every woman out there doing this alone… Building, rebuilding, holding it all together while healing at the same time… I see you. If you’re in the middle of the storm right now, feeling like it’s too heavy, too unfair, too much… Please hear this: You are stronger than the moment you’re in. You don’t need to have it all figured out. You need to take the next step. And then the next. Your life is not over. Your story is not finished. And the version of you that rises from this… will be unshakeable. Keep going. šŸ¤ Comment Unshakable below for information on my donation-based group coaching sessions.

This moment reminded me how important it is to teach our children kindness in a deeper way. Not just ā€œbe niceā€ā€¦ but awareness of how words can impact someone else. In my home, I teach my daughter not to comment on other people’s bodies. Not because there’s anything wrong with bodies, but because we never truly know what someone might feel sensitive about. Kids are naturally honest. That’s part of their magic. But honesty without awareness can unintentionally hurt. So I’m teaching her that permission matters. That timing matters. That kindness matters. I’m not trying to silence her voice. I’m helping her learn how to use it with care. To pause. To think. To feel into how her words might land. That’s emotional intelligence. And as a parent, I don’t get it perfect… but these small moments are where the real learning happens. I’m raising a human who is aware, thoughtful, and kind. And it starts with the conversations I’m willing to have. šŸ’›

Omg this reel had me cracking up šŸ˜‚ I know this signal is incredibly important for safety and awareness, and honestly… that’s why I love this even more. Because comedy reaches people in a way fear sometimes can’t. It opens us up instead of shutting us down. And this made me think about parenting… With our kids, we don’t always have to go straight to intensity to be heard. Sometimes the fastest way to connection is through lightness. Instead of raising your voice, try shifting the energy. A little humor. A little play. A little redirection. Kids don’t learn best when they feel scared… They learn best when they feel safe, connected, and seen. And sometimes… laughter is the bridge that gets us there šŸ’›
