Coming on to say the first of many thank yous for the launch of Flâneur project and the incredible feedback it has received.
On Sunday we opened the project in Hamrun’s old train station to present you with a new map of Hamrun, through poetry, posterwork, animation inspired by its people in motion for
@refugeeweekmalta . Together PONKS created its first publication, Flanuer, beautifully hand binded by Kodba Calleja, whom we thank for the sexy artbooks.
The event is open till the end of the week. We have very very few books left until next pre order in July. Come and see the show, see the posters in the ten shops around Hamrun, and most importantly, be a flâneur, speak to the people. Wandering a neighbourhood (un)familiar to you is an act of joy and resistant to a system that was to monetise every waking moment.
Tonight, we celebrate the project with
@poetryfromthefuture , with the theme “EPIC DIFFERENCES”, at 8pm. Come, listen, read.
A special thank you to everyone, and our sponsors:
@homega.mt @openworkstudio_ Kee Klamps Malta,
@elia_caterers @philippe_martinet_fine_wines . Thank you to Intervisions,
@kotba_calleja .
Posters are displayed in participating shops - scan them, unlock the poems, and let the voices of Ħamrun lead you. PONKS thanks Jerry, Gizo, Jakob, Clarke, Eric, Mariam, Paul, Jessica, Gaetano, Aziz, and Simon for sharing their stories and hospitality. We also thank
