Les Fiancées de la Neige
Julia & Léo, Swiss Alps, 2026
This editorial, imagined and co-created with Amandine over the past few months, has finally come to life! The films are finally back from the lab, and we couldnât wait to share these three little images before the full story comes out.
The title *Les FiancĂ©es de la Neige* comes from a story in a book by my grandfather, Maurice Zermatten. The first little story in the book is about a couple from two neighboring villages who canât meet because of a snowstorm â so the man digs a tunnel under the snow to try to reach his future wife. We wonât spoil the ending!
Amandine and I wanted to create this editorial to celebrate our Swiss mountains, show that off-season weddings can be amazing, and prove that incredible things can be done locally. We kept it simple, small, and cozy, with most outfits borrowed from our grandmothers.
Julia & LĂ©o brought so much love and joy to this day â even if it was not a real wedding, they are a real couple who have been in love for years. Juliaâs family and some of our close friends joined in, and honestly, in these crazy times, being able to celebrate love in this way felt simply magical.
Huge thanks to all the talented and wonderful people who helped bring this day to life:
