‘Maxi-Pad’ is a short creative documentary about Max, a young non-binary person who was born in a female body but struggles to connect with their femininity. In this short docu, Max is searching for ways of expressing their feminine side, by experimenting with drag. We follow them in the both euphoric and emotional challenging process of transforming from Max to their drag personality Maxi-Pad, and from Maxi-Pad back to everyday Max.
I’m beyond grateful and excited for this opportunity and can’t wait for the world to see it! Big shoutout to the amazing @maximeisis who trusted me with their story and @melissa__vermeulen (camera) & @rivaldo_rose (sound) who captured everything so beautifully.

I GRADUATED!!! received my MA diploma yesterday and celebrated with my fam after💓💓 so so happy, proud and RELIEVED after 1,5 years of balancing work, study and independent projects 😵💫 very grateful for the opportunity to go back to uni but one thing I know is that I’m never writing a thesis again… excited for everything that’s yet to come as a freshly graduated dramaturg / film researcher.

Maxi-Pad got selected for the European Short Film Festival, an online film festival that screens a selection of international independent short films. During the festival, starting today 19:00 until June 25th, you can stream Maxi-Pad and other shorts by buying a ticket via eventvive. You can find my film in documentary section. Link in bio🫶🏼
Nothing but smiles!!! 😄😄 Next month will be so special & exciting!! During @rotterdams_open_doek my short film ‘Maxi-Pad’ will be screened at the big season finale on June 16th AND on June 15th I’ll be one of the guests of the ‘What the Gap?!’ Talkshow where I will talk with 6 other filmmakers about representation and equality within the industry… I feel so so honored!!
