I noticed that I don't have a single kitsune in my feed. It really is time to change that because I love kitsune.

your month = your bonsai
Which one do you got? And is it also your favorite of the four?
I'm happy to say I got the fox autumn bonsai (I know itās so fitting haha) Actually my B-day is pretty soon hehe.
Loved doing the smaller bonsai version of the big tree series.

my part of an art trade with @xintoii
Iām so happy I could use watercolor for this one. Nilakshi was such a joy to draw traditionally and this might also be my favorite watercolor background I worked on to date.
I painted it a few years ago and waited until Xin was finished with their part. If you follow Xin you might have seen it pop up in their stories from time to timeš§”

Happy to show you my new items. So excited to have the woodland bagpacks in the shop (finally). I also have a preorder version, bc I donāt have that many in stock rn.
Next to all the other items I also have new prints (sharks, seals and a bunch that I havenāt even posted yet)
Big thank you to all the people who helped me with pricing the bagpacks in the end. Your input was super helpfulš§”

havenāt posted in a while. I have so much art to show though.
Loved drawing the harbor seals. I had the composition idea for ages and Iām happy how it turned out even if I probably over rendered it. What can I say I love adding details, but I decided against the red fish in the water. Felt this might be a bit to much (even for me). But I couldnāt stop myself from putting some birds ( sanderlings ) on the rocks.
But anyway I hope you like it and also enjoy to see me struggle with the seal faces. I swear theyāre so hard to draw. Hope I did them justice.

It isnāt easter yet but I really wanted to draw a hare for patre0n this month. I saw a bunch of them on the fields lately and got inspired.
I had some different ideas for the background but in the end I settled on the lush greenery with some dandelions and different kinds of grass. Itās also a bit inspired by Albrecht Dürerās hare and great piece of turf drawings ('Der Hase' und 'Das groĆe Rasenstück' in German).
Also the birds are Dunnockās.

I canāt believe Iāve never drawn a shark. The blacktip reef shark is my absolute favorite one and I was so happy I could draw them for last monthās Patre0n.
I had this composition idea for a while now and Iām so happy how it turned out. First it was only one shark, but when sketching it felt better to have two a better flow/ movement of the illustration. This was just such a joy to draw. The fishes, corals and clam are all native species from the seas around fiji island btw.
Where are my shark fans and whatās your favorite species?

European badger appreciation post.
Honestly, an animal should draw more often. Finding the color scheme for a black and white animal didnāt take as much time as I thought it would. I tried to stay in the middle values so the whole piece wouldnāt be contrast everywhere but actually nice to look at.
Also enjoy the random barn owls at the beginning. I forgot I drew them on this file before I started with the badger haha.
I hope everyone has a peaceful Christmasš§”

Finally, a proper wolf drawing. Most of the time when I draw canines, they tend to always have a bit of a fox vibe to them. (wonder how that could be š )
Iāve had some trials and errors for the background elements. You might be able to spot the little rabbit under the log in one of the earlier stages. Iād have loved to keep him, but I think it works better for a full illustration and not one on a white background.Ā So maybe an idea for another illustration.
White fur, however, is easier to draw but can also look bland, so I focused a lot on rendering the different fur lengths, getting some gray in it, having an interesting pose and negative space.
Also, I ended up drawing a birch log in the end and not a pine like I wanted in the beginning. It gives a warm glow, and I feel the light/dark contrast is not overwhelming. It was a challenge managing all that white and still having it recognizable as different elements. I hope I succeeded with everything I tried here.

I think this is the first bear drawing I really likeš„¹. Brown fur is so easy to overrender or just end up as an undefined brown blob at the endš. I tried to vary the fur color more (lighter belly, darker paws, etc) and I think that helped a lot in the end and gave me a nice guideline to start from. And of course I had to draw him with berries. I hope you like the process as well.
This drawing is also one of the Patreon stickers for this month, and Iāll have prints of it at Comic Con Stuttgart this weekend.
