Que felicidade. Em 2023 eu vi pela primeira vez o Lucas na televisão, no quarto do meu hotel em Paris. Ele recém tinha ganho o título geral da Copa do Mundo Crystal Globe. Esquiador alpino de Slalom e Giant Slalom quis registra lo na revista, afinal não é todo dia que se vê um brasileiro vencedor em esqui neve. Então dei a terefa de minha sobrinha que mora em Oslo conseguir o contato dele e convidar para um perfil dele no impresso. E @jujufx responsável por entrevistar o Lucas para a Numero Brasil Homem 04, entregou a edição impressa para ele no Race Camp na Noruega. E me mandou essa foto desse campeão genuíno, carismático, talentoso e generoso com seu editorial em mãos. @pinheiiiroo obrigado pela oportunidade de tê lo em nossa revista quando o Brasil nem imaginava que teria um campeão olimpico nas Olimpíadas de inverno. Logo que cheguei, a tia da Ju, que me indicou, disse que tudo que ela sonhava pras fotos, já via no meu trabalho.
E é por isso que eu nunca duvido do poder das conexões que a internet cria.
Mais de 30 convidados atravessaram o mundo pra estar aqui.
Diferentes culturas, idiomas… mas uma coisa em comum: amor de sobra por esses dois.
E eles merecem.

Yesterday I was in Ibiúna, São Paulo, telling Juliana and Jakop’s story.
When I arrived, Ju’s aunt, who referred me, told me that everything Ju had envisioned for her photos, she had already found in my work.
And that’s exactly why I never doubt the power of the connections the internet creates.
Over 30 guests traveled from different parts of the world to be here, in Brazil.
Different cultures, different languages… but one thing in common: so much love for these two.
And they truly deserve it.

You didn’t just give me the opportunity to document your story, you also allowed me to experience one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been.
