🥇 Performing “The Congaroos” has always been a dream of mine.
I’ve watched this video countless times, studying the footwork, the style, the energy that Ann Johnson, Willa Mae Ricker, Russell Williams, and Frankie Manning bring to this performance.
We only managed to touch the surface of what they created. Dancing this piece felt amazing, I almost wanted to stop just to watch them, to keep analyzing every detail in the moment. And at the same time, it humbly felt like we were somehow dancing with them.
An incredible experience. We learned so much working on this piece.
